Claire Lucien graduated with honors from the Institut d'Etudes Politique de Lille and the University of Kent with a major in Politics and International Relations. She is now finishing her MA at the Higher School of Economics with a focus on international security and Russia. In 2010, she interned for the French Defense Ministry where she worked for the Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia Desk of the Directorate for Strategic Affairs. In 2009, she led a study to evaluate the impact of the 2008 French White Book and the interest for the French Defense in Germany. In 2008, she participated and helped organize the Summer Course “What Iraq for tomorrow” at the Geneva International Peace Research Institute.
